  As I read this passage, the main point that comes to my mind concerning this story is how the The  Holy Spirit led Philip to the Ethiopian Eunuch. The Ethiopian Eunuch was obviously already. being drawn because he would not be studying the Scriptures if he were not being drawn. As 1 Corinthians 2:14 tells us, “But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them because they are spiritually discerned” I take this scripture to be talking about the unregenerate man’s heart. Unregenerate men and women have absolutely no interest in the things of God. So, the very fact that this Eunuch was found reading Scripture proves that the Lord was leading him. I think this point is made even. more clear from the words of our Lord in John 6:44, when He clearly says, “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent Me draws him, and I will raise him. up at the last day” There are many more verses ...

Recently, the Lord has put it on my heart to revive my Christian apologetics blog, where I review different prominent atheist books. My passion has always been apologetics, as I desire to know what I believe and why I believe it. I also have a strong desire to share the Gospel with people who are going through life without the hope of the Gospel. In this new blog series, I shall be reviewing a book from the infamous atheist Dr. Richard Dawkins' book called The God Delusion. But first, who is Dr. Richard Dawkins? He is a popular biologist who graduated from Oxford University. He has written a slew of books besides this one I am reviewing. Two other books that he has written are River Out of Eden and The Selfish Gene. For the sake of this series, however, I will only focus on The God Delusion.   Recently, I had the opportunity to moderate a debate between a Christian and an atheist concerning the topic of What Is Optimal For Mental Health: Christianity or Atheism? The debate went well and I believe that the Christian made some solid points concerning the topic that the atheist could not refute. The atheist did not even attempt to refute what the Christian said concerning the topic but instead opted to talk about everything else under the sun except the topic. As the moderator, I admit that I could have done a better job at keeping him on topic, but I felt like I should give him a lot of leeway for the sake of fairness. Afterward, I wanted to debate the atheist on another topic and he originally agreed. However, when I told him I would only debate him if he showed his face, he became very volatile and disrespectful. He even began talking trash about my wife. Needless to say, I told him that the debate is no longer on the table until he agrees to show his face and apologiz...

 Christopher Hitchens titles this chapter "A Note on Health, to Which Religion Can Be Hazardous" and  opens up this chapter with a quote by Heinrich Heine, which says:                                      "In dark ages are best guided by religion, as in a pitch black night a blind man is the best guide; he knows the roads and paths better than a man who can see. When daylight comes, however, it is foolish to use blind old men as guides"  I actually agree with this quote, but I think the irony behind this is that Hitchens was painfully unaware that it is himself and those who profess the worldview of atheism who are the ones who are "blind guides". If Christianity is true, and I believe that I've been demonstrating that it is, then the Christian worldview is more in line with reality and atheism is nothing more than a delusional fantasy.
